Min: New deal with Gazprom to ensure gas flow to Republika Srpska

BELGRADE, Jul 11 (PRIME) -- A new agreement with Gazprom will ensure uninterrupted gas supplies to Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Energy and Mining Minister Petar Dokic told PRIME on Monday.

Government owned gas company GAS-RES rolled over a gas supply deal with Russia on June 1.

"We have signed a natural gas supplies deal with Gazprom and are very happy with the understanding that the company and the government of Russia expressed towards Republika Srpska. This ensured uninterrupted supplies to our consumers," Dokic said, adding that the price amounts to about U.S. $290 per 1,000 cubic meters.

GAS-RES has been receiving Russian gas via the TurkStream pipeline since 2021 and consumes about 50 million cubic meters per year on average.
